Job description

Department: Production

Classification: Caser/Capper/Labeler Operator

Wage: Bracket VI

Hours: 3rd Shift 10:00 PM โ€“ 6:30 AM

Days Off: Saturday and Sunday (Possible split days off)

Duties and responsibilities but not limited to:

  • Operate caser, case packer, lid applicator, or labeler in a safe and efficient manner
  • Maintain proper case and container codes and properly apply labels
  • Make operator adjustments as needed
  • Complete paperwork and pallet tags properly
  • Keep equipment cleaned and in proper operating condition
  • Advise foreman or shift supervisor of potential problems
  • Assist other line personnel as required to minimize losses
  • Pull all required samples
  • May be required to train other employees
  • Frequent lifting up to 55 pounds and carrying of materials an average weight of 41 pounds
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the downstream areas at all times
  • Ensure that line detectors are working properly
  • Other duties as assigned
