Gantry/Palletizing

FUNCTIONS and RESPONSIBILITIES:

MACHINE OPERATOR ROLE:

1. Supply Machine with blank goods; calculate number of parts needed to complete the order

2. Monitor and ensure quality throughout the production process.

3. Number labels on each order in sequence and place completed boxes on skids and individual parts in totes or on tray packs; complete the corresponding paperwork for each order.

4. Place product of poor quality in a scrap box. Products made of like materials are placed in the same box.

5. Sweep, 5S, clean around machine

REWORK ROLE:

1. Purify suspect product in AW Warehouse

2. Sort bad product, rebox product as needed

3. Observe how the Rework department operates

4. Inspect/label as needed

5. Assist 5S as needed

QUALITY ASSURANCE ROLE:

1. Job shadow Quality inspectors

2. Performing checks on line of printed items

3. Challenge Metal Detectors

4. Challenge Skid Scanners

5. Assist with 5S as needed

OPERATOR ASSISTANT ROLE:

1. Shadow Operator assistant

2. Assist with OA duties - giving breaks, making boxes

3. Assist with restocking machine supplies

4. Assist with 5s as needed

GANTRY/PALLETIZING ROLE:

1. Assist with palletizing orders/product

2. Ensure palletizing area is 5S and maintained daily

3. Observe how gantry system functions

4. Label product boxes as necessary

5. Ensure gantry system runs efficiently

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

1. Strong organizational skills with proven ability to complete multiple tasks simultaneously

2. Ability to lift 40 pounds

3. Ability to climb ladders / steps

4. Ability to stand and walk for a minimum of 2 hours

5. Visual acuity of at least 20/50 for distance and a minimum near vision ability to read 10-12-point font at 12-18 inches and ability to pass Ishahara Color Vision Test
