Job description

Our client, a long-standing local manufacturer of automotive refinishing and repair products, is looking for multiple General Labourers to join their Labeling Department!

This role involves labeling cans as outlined on the manufacturing order. This is manual work, and you must be able to lift 35 pounds, count, and read, write, and understand English fluently.

Salary: $19.00 per hour, temporary to permanent.

Hours of Work: This is an on-site position. Our client is currently hiring for day and night shifts for this position.

The shift times will be as follows: Day shift: Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm. Night shift: Sunday, 6:00pm - 4:30am, and Monday to Wednesday, 5:00pm - 3:30am; overtime may be required on Thursday.

Night-shift training takes place Monday to Thursday, 7:00am - 5:30pm.

Responsibilities
  • Safely labeling cans as outlined on the manufacturing order.
  • Interpreting and creating paperwork related to the order.
  • Communication with team members about requirements and quality to ensure smooth operation.
  • Routine cleaning and sanitation of equipment.
  • With attention to detail, checking labels to ensure accuracy.
  • General help with other tasks as needed.


Requirements
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment is a requirement.
  • Must have strong English communication skills, both spoken and written.
  • Comfort level with completing a lot of paperwork.
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs on a regular basis.
  • Ability to work full-time, 40 hours per week.
  • Demonstrable work ethic and reliability.
  • Attention to detail and good time management skills.
