Job description

Press Assistants are responsible for building press parts, delivery of parts, and assisting the RCS Press Operators changing over the parts on the Gallus RCS 430 printing press.
The Press Assistant is responsible for:
  • Delivers parts, materials, tools and supplies to Press Operators.
  • Reviews Press schedule and stages orders for Press Operators.
  • Assists Press Operators as needed to clean and set-up Printing Press.
  • Installs and removes print heads, unwind units, hot stamps, material and dies.
  • Mounts printing plates on cylinders and sharpens squeegee blades.
  • Maintains production area by removing garbage and organizing supplies.
  • Disassembles, cleans, and reassembles ink trays/chambers.
  • Operates and maintains parts washing units and properly disposes of used materials.
  • Participate in Process Improvement projects.
  • OT and switching of shifts may be required at times.
  • Expected to perform job functions at times, alone with no supervision or assistance.

Education and/or Experience:
  • Previous Manufacturing experience in general is a plus.
  • Basic experience with hand tools
  • Must 18 years old
