Remote Billing Quality Control Coordinator

Labcorp is seeking a Remote Billing Quality Control Coordinator to join our team. This position will support the Northeast Division with the primary location of Raritan, NJ.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST.

Job Responsibilities

  • Revenue Cycle Leadership: Actively manage high-risk accounts and systemic billing challenges, implementing strategic solutions to prevent revenue leakage and improve collection rates.
  • Financial Impact Analysis: Utilize advanced data analytics to identify trends, root causes of defects, and forecast financial outcomes, ensuring timely corrective actions.
  • Technology & Process Optimization: Champion adoption of billing technologies and tools, collaborating with Corporate Billing and IT to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
  • Training & Development: Deliver advanced billing education to internal teams and clients, ensuring compliance with payer requirements, ABNs, eClaims, and medical necessity documentation.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Serve as a liaison between billing, sales, operations, and client services, fostering alignment and accountability across departments.
  • Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure adherence to regulatory standards and payer guidelines, mitigating financial and legal risks.
  • Strategic Reporting: Develop and maintain systems to manage large volumes of quantitative data, providing actionable insights to senior leadership.
  • Leadership Presence: Represent revenue cycle priorities in internal meetings, influencing decisions that impact organizational profitability.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive initiatives that enhance billing accuracy, reduce defects, and improve client experience.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate degree and 3 year's experience in medical and/or insurance field and 5 years experience if no degree

Preferred Qualifications

  • 3 years or more of Knowledge of LCBS, LCLS, Labcorp LINK, and other Labcorp software.
  • 2 years or more of experience in teaching, support, and training in customer interaction situations.
  • 3 years or more experience with medical and insurance billing requirements and regulations.

Pay Range: $42k- 65k

All job offers will be based on a candidate's skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.

The BQCC role directly impacts millions in revenue and goes beyond transaction tasks to design and implement action plans geared to improving margin. This role requires a deep knowledge and understanding of payor compliance, billing systems, and revenue cycle best practices.

Benefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan. Employees regularly scheduled to work less than 20 hours, Casual, Intern, and Temporary employees are only eligible to participate in the 401(k) Plan. Employees who are regularly scheduled to work a 7 on/7 off schedule are eligible to receive all the foregoing benefits except PTO or FTO.
