Job description

Overview:
Griffin Health is currently seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Lab Courier to join our Laboratory Services team. This important role supports daily operations by ensuring timely and accurate pick-up and delivery of laboratory specimens, medical supplies, and lab reports between the hospital and physician offices. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a commitment to customer service, and a clean driving record.
Main Responsibilities:
Travel to multiple physician offices daily to collect laboratory specimens.
Deliver lab supplies and completed reports to designated locations.
Maintain the integrity and confidentiality of all medical specimens and documents during transport.
Communicate professionally and courteously with medical office staff and hospital personnel.
Ensure timely, accurate, and safe transportation according to established protocols.
Perform vehicle inspections and follow safety procedures for specimen handling.
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Requirements:
1-3 months of related experience preferred; laboratory experience a plus.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Must possess a valid Connecticut driver's license with a clean driving record.
