Job description

Laboratory personnel will be responsible for performing all specified tests and solution analysis as well as any additional analysis. Results of all tests and analysis will be recorded and graphed accordingly. Laboratory personnel will also be required to follow periodic calibration and maintenance procedures.


Key Responsibilities:

Perform routine sample preparation and analysis using ICP, GC ECD, Bomb Calorimeter, Auto Titrator and Karl-Fischer

Sample drums and perform compatibility testing and analysis

Report analytical results and coordinate with production personnel

Maintain accurate analysis, maintenance, and production records

Assist other facility operators as needed

Perform general laboratory and facility housekeeping duties

Performs additional duties as assigned by the Lab Supervisor
Knowledge, Skills, and Key Competencies:

Environmental or Chemical Engineering Technician or Technologist of related Diploma

Previous lab experience is an asset

Competent computer skills (MS Windows and Office)

Strong interpersonal skills

Must be motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively in a team environment

Must be safety conscious and detail oriented

Strong organizational and communication skills

Ability to follow procedures and work with minimum supervision

Willing to work overtime, alternate shifts and occasional weekends.
