Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an Operator 2 at our Penhorwood Mill & Concentrator, located approximately 70 km west of Timmins, towards Foleyet, ON. This is a Unionized, full time and permanent position. This role requires rotational 12 hour shift work on a 5/5/4 schedule, days and nights.

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

The preferred candidate for this position will have previous experience in process mill operations, mobile equipment operation and flexibility to perform other related operational tasks such as lab testing and housekeeping.

The ideal candidate will be a team player who embraces Health, Safety, Environment and Quality as an integrated value in all areas of our workplace and who is willing to work in a dynamic environment that supports, promotes and maintains excellent working relationships.


REQUIREMENTS:

  • Mechanical abilities and knowledge.
  • Knowledge of mill flotation processes
  • Heavy Equipment experience (back-hoe, loader, grater)
  • Lab testing and Quality Control experience
  • Ability to work in the mill collecting samples from the circuits, lab testing, crusher/loader operation, basic routing maintenance duties, housekeeping and other assigned duties.
  • 1 to 2 years equivalent combination of education and experience is preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability and be able to follow detailed procedures and work alone or as a team.
  • Computer literate: Windows, MS Office, Excel, and ability to learn other Magris Talc software programs related to data entry, process equipment, etc.
