Job description

Mitsubishi Electric Research Laboratories (MERL) is looking for an organized, energetic, and service-minded Lab & Office Coordinator to join our team in Cambridge, MA.This is a hands-on role where you'll help create a welcoming workplace and support the day-to-day operations that keep MERL running smoothly. You must enjoy working with people, staying organized, and bringing people and details together. What You'll Do
  • Coordinate executive visits, meetings, seminars, interviews, and special events.
  • Plan intern programs, employee events, weekly socials, volunteer activities, and other culture-building initiatives.
  • Manage day-to-day office operations, including purchasing, vendor relationships, catering, and office services.
  • Work closely with HR, IT, Facilities, and Property Management to keep the laboratory running smoothly.
  • Coordinate the laboratory's shared calendar, meetings, and events.
  • Provide administrative and operational support across the organization.
  • Support MERL's communications and social media initiatives.
  • Bring new ideas, solve problems, and continuously improve how we work.
Who You AreYou're organized, proactive, and enjoy working with people. You take ownership, communicate professionally, and can manage multiple priorities, while working as part of a collaborative team. Two or more years of experience in administration, office coordination, hospitality, or a similar role is preferred. A bachelor's degree is a plus.This role offers broad experience across office operations, events, communications, executive support, and HR.
