Job description

Geotechnical Lab Technician

Location: West Valley City & Ogden, Utah Pay: $22–$25 per hour Schedule: Full-Time Start Date: ASAP

We’re Hiring: Geotechnical Lab Technician

We are looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Geotechnical Lab Technician to join our team in the West Valley City and Ogden, Utah areas. This is a great opportunity for someone with hands-on geotechnical testing experience who enjoys working both in the lab and in the field.

What You’ll Do

  • Perform laboratory testing of soil, aggregate, concrete, and other construction materials
  • Conduct testing in accordance with applicable ASTM and AASHTO standards
  • Prepare and document laboratory test results accurately
  • Collect, label, and process material samples
  • Maintain testing equipment and a clean, organized laboratory
  • Assist with field testing and inspections as needed
  • Communicate test results and findings with project managers and field personnel
  • Follow all company safety procedures and quality-control requirements

What We’re Looking For

  • At least 1 year of geotechnical, construction materials, or laboratory testing experience
  • Familiarity with soil and aggregate testing procedures
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document results
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to work outdoors and in varying weather conditions when needed

Preferred Qualifications

  • ACI certification preferred
  • Additional ASTM/AASHTO or construction materials certifications are a plus
  • Experience with concrete, soils, aggregates, or asphalt testing
