Job Responsibilities:  

  • Material sampling & testing (concrete, cement, aggregates, admixtures, etc.)
  • Plan and implementation of project programs
  • Data management and reporting, Maintain SR & ED records
  • Coordinate external testing with consultants and contractors
  • Provide technical support for different business units
  • Review specifications and research literature
  • Draft technical report
  • Support advanced material characterization activities.
  • Use of LCR meters, graphing and data visualization tools.
  • Participation in research involving nano tubes and concrete material technologies.

Requirements:

  • Engineering degree (Materials, Civil, Chemical, Mechanical)
  • Good verbal and writing communication skills
  • Experience in technical writing
  • Strong analytical skill with good attention to details and accuracy
  • Knowledge about cement, concrete, and aggregates
  • Advanced computer knowledge including MS Office and Minitab
  • Familiarity with LCR meters and related laboratory instrumentation used for material property measurement
  • Ability to perform graphing, data visualization, and interpretation of laboratory results
  • Experience working with concrete materials in laboratory or field environments
  • Exposure to nano tubes or nano enhanced material technologies considered an asset
