Job description

Kelly is hiring for a Technician, Innovation & Science for a 10-month contract role at Narrows, VA 24124 with our prestigious client.
Job Title: Technician, Innovation & Science

Primary Location: 3520 Virginia Avenue, Narrows, VA 24124
10-month contract - Onsite role
Shift: 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM
Pay rate: $20 - 26.78/hr.
Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in manufacturing, process laboratory environment, or hands-on research facility.
  • Mechanical acumen and chemical handling experience preferred.
  • Experience with a motorized pallet jack is preferred.
  • Employee must be able to work independently with limited instruction.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50-lbs and move heavy items with assistance occasionally.
  • Computer skills and the effective use of Microsoft Word and Excel relating to data manipulation and report generation are required.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide technical support by operating lab pilot-scale mixers, pumps, tanks, and high speed mechanical processing equipment according to a provided trial plan or procedure.
  • Perform physical and visual quality evaluations. Attention to detail is critical.
  • Review of process controls and data for report out and further optimization.
  • Effectively communicate data and trial learnings to coordinator for continuous improvement.
  • Employee will be expected to use initiative and troubleshooting skills to help identify problems and implement corrective actions.
