Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and required national certifications for a short-term acute care hospital setting.
Details
- Work in the Cath Lab department of a short-term acute care hospital
- Perform interventional radiology and cardiac catheterization procedures
- Procedures include angioplasty, stent placement, vascular studies, mesenteric angiogram, paracentesis, and cardiac ablations
- Additional procedures may include genitourinary studies, renal artery and ureteral stent placement, and neurological stent placement
- Cerner charting system used
- 4x10 hour day shifts, Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
- On-call required approximately 10-11 days per month
- Floating required within the hospital or to nearby affiliate hospitals
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in Cath Lab/interventional radiology
- ACLS certification required
- ARRT-R or CCI RCIS certification required
- License required if applicable, must be in hand prior to start date (temporary licenses may be obtainable once permanent license applications are submitted)
- Experience scrubbing and maintaining a sterile field
- Skilled in angioplasty, stent placement, and vascular studies/procedures
- SSN and DOB required for consideration
- 2 supervisor references required
Additional Information
- Responsibilities include performing interventional radiology and cardiac cath lab procedures, maintaining sterile fields, and assisting with vascular, genitourinary, and neurological studies
- Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays
- Local candidates are accepted
- First-time travelers are welcome to apply
- Former IU Health perm or PRN employees must be separated for at least 12 months before applying as a traveler
- Travelers who have accrued 12 months of employment within IU Health must take a designated consecutive break before returning: 3 months for out-of-state residents or 6 months for in-state residents
- Up to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires facility approval
