Description

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist with 1+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and required Epic EMR proficiency for a diagnostic cardiac catheterization lab setting.

Details
  • Diagnostic Cardiac Cath Lab work setting
  • 1:1 patient ratio
  • 4x10 hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 AM to 5:30/6:00 PM
  • Schedule includes routine Sunday cases as part of the standard 4x10 rotation
  • Requires 1 call shift per week and 1 call weekend within a 5-week period
  • Requires 1 late stay shift per week
  • May float to other qualified units or campuses based on facility census needs
Requirements
  • Minimum 1 year of recent experience in cardiac cath lab required
  • ACLS and BLS certifications required
  • ARRT-R certification required (license required if applicable)
  • SCRQSA certification required
  • Minimum 1 year of Epic EMR experience required
  • Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including ASD closures, cardiac implant closure devices, cardiac stent placement, diagnostic catheterizations (adult and pediatric/neonatal), hemodynamic monitoring, IABP placement/removal, Impella insertion, dysrhythmia interpretation, laser-assisted procedures, left and right heart catheterization, OCT, PCI, PTCA, permanent pacemaker insertion, PA line insertion, rotablator atherectomy, temporary pacemaker, TAVR, ventricular assist device insertion, and Watchman procedures
  • Ability to scrub and maintain a sterile field during procedures
  • Knowledge of isolation precautions and proper PPE use
Additional Information
  • Perform diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures while maintaining a sterile field
  • Attend orientation held every Monday along with annual compliance training
  • Complete pre-assignment testing and required modules within 48 hours of receiving login credentials
  • Candidates must reside more than 50 miles from the flagship hospital campus to be eligible for this specialty, with additional distance required for full travel rate eligibility
  • First-time travelers will be considered
