Job Summary
Designs, develops, and delivers professional learning for faculty in the effective integration of technology in the assigned college. Collaborates with faculty, students, and external partners in the integration of instructional technologies and innovative teaching and learning practices. Serves as a technology coach (one-on-one and in groups) for faculty in designing and delivering technology-enhanced, face-to-face, and blended instruction. Models and facilitates the effective use of research-based, learner-centered strategies and innovative pedagogies when planning technology-enhanced learning with faculty. Serves as the Innovation Lab Manager and is responsible for all aspects of designing, developing, and implementing the curriculum offered in the Innovation Lab.
Responsibilities
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Designs, develops, and delivers professional learning for faculty in the effective integration of technology
2. Collaborates with faculty and students in the integration of instructional technologies and innovative teaching and learning practices
3. Serves as a technology coach (one-on-one and in groups) for faculty in designing and delivering technology-enhanced, face-to-face, and blended instruction
4. Models and facilitates the effective use of research-based, learner-centered strategies and innovative pedagogies when planning technology-enhanced learning with faculty
5. Offers support and guidance to faculty creating and updating face-to-face and blended learning
6. Collaborates with faculty to develop curriculum materials and plan technology-enhanced lessons
7. Develops Technology Innovation Activities (TIAs) for use throughout undergraduate and graduate programs both online and face-to-face to support the integration of technology and innovation throughout the college
8. Works collaboratively with the Instructional Designer in supporting faculty with blended and online learning
9. Designs the setup of the Innovation Lab to meet the needs of a wide range of groups visiting the Innovation Lab
10. Encourages and promotes innovation by offering a variety of learning opportunities in the Innovation Lab (e.g., maker activities, design thinking, personalized learning, video production, robotics, coding, etc.)
11. Continuously develops new learning experiences offered in the Innovation Lab
12. Evaluates and selects hardware, software, robotics, and other devices, materials, and supplies purchased to equip the Innovation Lab
13. Manages the Maker Closet that houses all the supplies for the Innovation Lab
14. Manages, mentors, and trains student assistants who assist in setting up the lab for each session
15. Collaborates with Bagwell partners to offer customized sessions and tours of the Innovation Lab
16. Teaches partners how to design Innovation Labs in their schools or organizations
17. Researches emerging technologies and how they can be integrated into the curriculum offered in the Innovation Lab
18. Advocates for the needed resources in the Innovation Lab and its growth and expansion
19. Engages in continuous professional learning by staying abreast of current and emerging technologies and innovative pedagogies
20. Serves on technology-related committees as needed
21. Provides support for visiting students, faculty, and special events offered as needed
22. Works with vendors to secure complementary hardware and software for faculty and students
23. Seeks approval for donations by developing MOUs and getting approval though the UITS and legal departments at KSU
Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education in Instructional Technology or a closely-related field
Required Experience
Five (5) years of experience related to the position

An advanced degree from an accredited institution of higher education in a related field

Proposed Salary
