Job description

Evening in the Lab: A Day-in-the-Life

At 3:00 pm, you step into a lab that fuels world-class custom compounds. You review prioritized test queues, pull samples, and move methodically through core analyses to verify that both raw materials and finished goods meet internal and customer specifications. You document results in our quality and manufacturing systems, flag any out-of-spec findings, and recommend adjustments when needed. Along the way, you help resolve non-routine issues, assist with complaint investigations, and keep the workspace aligned to 6S standards.

  • Execute core material tests with minimal supervision after training; perform additional inspections as directed by lab leadership.
  • Collect, label, and package samples for internal testing and external evaluation as required.
  • Decide on material disposition, approving or rejecting lots based on specifications.
  • Record test conditions and outcomes accurately in quality systems and manufacturing/ERP software.
  • Recommend and document adjustments for nonconforming material; support root-cause work on customer complaints.
  • Perform and/or verify raw material calibration procedures as needed.
  • Maintain safety, good laboratory practices, and housekeeping using 6S.
What You Bring
  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree in a technical field preferred.
  • At least 1 year of manufacturing experience.
  • Clear, professional communication with supervisors, peers, and cross-functional partners.
  • Comfort with basic arithmetic and applying formulas for calculations.
  • Ability to read and write in English.
  • Basic computer and data-entry skills; ERP familiarity preferred.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a collaborative, team-first mindset.
Schedule

2nd Shift / 3:00 pm – 11:00 pm, Monday–Friday. For training, you must be available Monday–Friday from 7:00 am to 3:00 pm for up to 4 weeks before moving to 2nd shift (as deemed necessary by the Lab Manager).
