OPTICAL LAB SUPPORT TECHNICIAN

Department: Production

Reports To: Lab Supervisor

Pay Rate: Starting at $15.00 per hour


Position Summary

The Lab Support Technician assists with daily operations throughout the optical lab. This position supports production, shipping, organization, and general housekeeping to help ensure work flows efficiently through the lab.


Essential Duties

  • Wash and clean lenses throughout the production process.
  • Assist with shipping and packaging of completed orders.
  • Move jobs and materials between departments.
  • Empty trash and recycling containers.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Assist with inventory organization and stocking supplies.
  • Follow all safety and quality procedures.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Reliable attendance and punctuality.
  • Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
  • Willingness to learn and assist where needed.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds.
  • Ability to bend, reach, and move throughout the facility.
