Description
Nursing Lab Manager - Full-Time
Salary: $73,752 - $81,127* annually
Department/Division: Healthcare Division
Report to: Associate Dean of Nursing Assistant, Practical Nursing, and Associate Degree in Nursing Programs
Priority consideration given to those that apply before June 15th.
The Nursing Lab Manager's primary responsibility is to coordinate and manage lab, simulation, technical, and tutoring support to students in the Nursing Programs.
The Manager will coordinate and manage quarterly lab and simulation supplies and set up with nursing faculty, the simulation faculty, and additional stakeholders. The Manager will collaborate with the Associate Dean, Healthcare Division Faculty, and office staff. The position contributes to the mission of the College by supporting diverse students in achieving their educational goals.
Essential Functions
  • Direct and supervise part-time Lab Resource Nurses (LRNs) or simulation technicians' daily assignments and performance.
  • Coordinate scheduling part time LRNs to maintain daily operations of the lab and simulation program
  • Delegate as appropriate to LRNs the daily tasks required for lab functions.
  • Orient new part-time LRNs or simulation technicians to their role and provide training in using/maintaining simulation equipment as needed.
  • Collaborate with Administrator/budget manager to establish, monitor, and maintain the simulation and laboratory budgets.
  • Oversee inventory and ordering of lab and simulation equipment and supplies, including maintenance and repair of lab and simulation equipment.
  • Ensure sufficient supplies and equipment are prepared for lab and simulation activities.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
  • Certificate or associate degree in nursing (PN or ADN).
  • Current, unencumbered, and active LPN or RN license or ability to obtain license in the State of Washington prior to hire.
  • Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Provider certification.
  • Current up to date immunizations.
  • Demonstrate leadership and/or supervisory experience, with the ability to guide, support, and evaluate team members on performance expectations.
  • Strong organizational and operational management skills, with the ability to coordinate multiple priorities, manage resources effectively, and ensure smooth lab operations.
  • Ability to communicate professionally with diverse audiences, including students, faculty, and staff.
  • Ability to foster a collaborative, respectful, and inclusive work environment that supports team management, student success, and continuous improvement.
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Excel, and Forms.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN), healthcare-related, or administration-related field.
  • Experience in a leadership, coordinator, or lead role within a clinical, educational, or lab setting.
  • Experience working with healthcare simulation equipment and/or in healthcare lab settings.
  • Experience working in a community college setting.
  • Familiarity with learning management systems (LMS) and simulation platforms.
  • Experience supporting adult learners.

This is a Full-time exempt position scheduled to work Monday through Friday. The salary for this position is $73,752 - $81,127* annually, which includes a generous benefits package that includes the following.
