Responsibilities
  • As the Business Development Manager, drive sales expansion by identifying and onboarding new clients while re-engaging with dormant accounts across Western Canada.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with existing strategic and key client accounts to uncover additional growth opportunities and revenue streams, through the understanding of client project scopes and application of related analytical services.
  •  Own lead generation, deal negotiation and agreement closure in the B2B sales cycle, overseeing internal collaboration with Project Management and Lab Operations teams to ensure a successful client experience.
  • Gather and analyze market and industry intelligence, metrics, and trends to influence sales approach and differentiate Element as an industry leader and testing partner of choice.
  • Flexibility to manage your day-to-day schedule in order to meet mandatory monthly client call and site visit requirements.
Skills / Qualifications
  • 5 to 7 years of B2B sales experience in a professional environment, with monthly targets focused on new lead generation and sales pipeline development
  • Post secondary education (certificate, diploma, degree) or a combination of relevant experience and supplementary professional development
  • Clear, confident, and proactive communication to elicit internal cooperation and gain client trust
  • Motivated and driven to quickly learn about the Environmental and Food industries, technical lab knowledge and processes, and Element service offerings
  • Reliable transportation to meet and exceed mandatory monthly client site visits and ability to travel overnight approximately 15% of the time
  • Asset Qualifications: In addition to the above, preference will be given to candidates with any industry (lab services, environmental / food testing) related experience and/or education
