Job Description:
A. Team Management:
  • Managing Team of 3-6 DevOps and Subject Matter Specialists
  • Conducting Performance Review for the Team Members and Define Annual Performance Rating
  • Conducting Periodical One on One Meetings with Team Members to Provide Ongoing Feedback
  • Hire New Personal if Required.
  • Assigning Task to Other Team Members.
  • Coaching and Mentoring Team Members, conducting periodical Team Meetings.
  • Providing Technical Assistance and Training for the Team Members.

B. Implementation of software Emerald Solution on NCR Voyix Customer sites including:
  • Provide guidance to NCR Voyix Customer Technical Specialists on Deployment, Configuration, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of NCR Voyix Software
  • Lead Troubleshooting and Analysis sessions to identify and resolve problems reported from customer or internal NCR Voyix Lab
  • Provide Guidance on Installation, configuration, and maintenance of Emerald Solution on Customer Site;
  • Participate in Acceptance of Configuration Releases for Customer.
  • Provide Guidance for Configuration of connections to NCR Voyix Cloud Services.
  • Document suggested custom deployment procedures according to specific customer lab requirements.

C. Customer Consulting during implementation of Emerald Solution on customer site:
  • Provide Consulting on setup of Environment, Installation and configuration of Windows components and third-party frameworks utilized by Emerald Solution.
  • Provide Consulting and validation of customer network and security, explanation of Emerald Hardening requirements.
  • Provide Consulting on Deployment Automation of NCR Voyix Software - Emerald POS and Universal Loyalty Promotion Engine (ULPE) Deployment Components.
  • Guide Customer during Validation of SQL Databases setup and conducting to customer best practices of Structured Query Language (SQL) Database configuration for Emerald Point of Sale
  • Communicate Documentation of Emerald POS software releases and configurations to the customer.
  • Help in documentation of technical procedures related to the installation and deployment of Emerald Software suite.
  • Aid in creation and hardening of POS Image.

D. Management of NCR Voyix internal Emerald test lab documentation of process:
  • Report Lab Status and System Installation Progress to Project Managers and applicable Stakeholders
  • Assign Lab Management Tasks to Team Members
  • Request and Approve NCR Voyix Software Version and Configuration Updates in NCR Voyix Emerald Professional Services (PS) Labs
  • Provide guidance to NCR Voyix Customer Technical Specialists on Deployment, Configuration, Maintenance and Troubleshooting of NCR Voyix Software
  • Manage Physical and Virtual NCR Voyix labs, deploy NCR Voyix software utilizing best practices of automated CI/CD
  • As part of Virtual NCR Voyix labs, Create Azure cloud environments and maintaining them with Ansible using Jenkins Pipelines for Subject Matter Expert (SME), Quality Assurance (QA), Support
  • Utilize deployment tools like batch scripts, power shell scripts to schedule and execute software deployment on Physical NCR Voyix labs;
  • Lead Team effort on creation of PowerShell scripts to support Deployment Automation and Monitoring of Deployment Process
  • Documentation of Lab Management processes.
  • Ensure DevOps and Subject Mater Experts Team support and aid Quality Assurance Testers during test and validation of customer specific configurations.
  • Document procedures/guides for Customer Technical team on the deployments of NCR Voyix Applications like Emerald/Advanced Marketing Solutions (AMS)/Microservices.
  • Full-time telecommuting is permitted, and the job can be performed anywhere in the US.
  • The role requires travel up to 10% of the time domestically and internationally (Canada).
  • The position requires supervision of three (3) direct employees.

Job Requirements:
Bachelor's Degree or foreign equivalent* in Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Technology in Electronics and Communications or a related technical field plus six (6) years of experience in a
technical software occupation. Experience must include:
  • Six (6) years of experience with hardening and security of Windows OS.
  • Six (6) years of experience in deployment of distributed software solutions in Cloud and on-
  • Six (6) years of experience in customer consulting.
  • Six (6) years of experience in leading technical Team.
  • Six (6) years of experience of Microsoft SQL server, including installation, tuning, and troubleshooting.
  • Six (6) years of experience producing SQL queries.
  • Six (6) years of experience of Window and Linux Operating Systems.
  • Six (6) years of experience of automation and monitoring and scripting of deployment processes.
  • Six (6) years of experience of message brokers, such as Rabbit MQ.
  • Six (6) years of experience of architecture of distributed software solutions.
    • Six (6) years of experience of providing technical directions for problem resolution to customers and third-party vendors.
  • Six (6) years of experience of software delivery processes.
  • Six (6) years of experience of authoring technical specifications and implementation instructions.
  • Six (6) years of experience in Software subjects in Retail Industry, domain expertise in POS and Loyalty Systems.
  • Six (6) years of experience in integration of distributed Retail Software solutions deployed in Cloud and on-premises environments.
  • Six (6) years of experience with Web Services API.
