What is my role?

  • The lab manager is responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining the software, PC, and other testing devices.
  • Duties include ensuring the security of computers, care of the lab equipment, upkeep of supplies, and providing a smooth operation.
  • Provide technical assistance in setting up the labs.
  • Assist faculty with lab usage or with special software requests, maintaining procedural documentation.
  • Responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and safety of all computing labs, conduct a daily walkthrough of labs, and ensure that every component of the lab is working properly
  • Following up on purchase order for each project (MARS)
  • Maintaining the log to show IN/OUT of the inventory.
  • Following up on the shipment IN/OUT of the Thousand Oaks and Bangalore in India
  • Distributing lab equipment (ALE and non-ALE product)
  • Mounting/Unmounting equipment on the rack for testbed (ALE and non-ALE product)
  • As a lab manager, has overall responsibility for the operation of the lab and other lab-related issues.
  • Managing hardware inventory, processing RMAs, and maintaining accurate Inventory Management Logs/Details
  • Receiving/Shipment of HW from/To other locations.
  • This position receives Daily supervision from Technical Manager.

What am I responsible for?

  • Equipment installation and configuration of computers for usage by testbed
  • Tests equipment and software in the lab to ensure it is fully operational
  • Maintain equipment/software inventory and keep tracking records by logging it in the database

What are my qualifications?

  • 3-5 years of experience
  • MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Basic working knowledge of Windows OS and Linux OS
  • Ability to install Windows OS and LINUX OS
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs. and use simple tools to secure network equipment in racks
  • Travel to Thousand Oaks office.

B.S. Degree or equivalent experience.

This is a non-exempt position starting at $25 per hour and eligible for annual bonuses.
