Position Description
JOB DESCRIPTION
The Project Manager is responsible for overseeing construction projects, including coordination with project owners or their representatives, scheduling crews or subcontractors, managing claims coordination with operations/estimating. Verify as-built quantities, invoicing for completed work and ensuring projects are delivered within budget.
Primarily FDOT, county and municipal asphalt paving and roadway construction projects throughout Central Florida. Experience with Viewpoint, Excel, Build2Win or similar construction management software preferred. The role includes both office and field responsibilities with occasional night and weekend work.The Project Manager is a seasoned leader responsible for delivering complex FDOT and government roadway projects safely, on time, and within budget. This role not only oversees day-to-day project execution but also plays a key part in developing the next generation of project leaders. The Project Manager is expected to mentor and collaborate with other project managers, sharing expertise in FDOT compliance, cost control, and scheduling to elevate the performance of the entire team.
Reporting Relationships
Reports directly to and is accountable to the Regional Vice President.
Education & Experience Requirements
    • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field (required).
    • Minimum 10 years of proven experience managing FDOT or other government roadway and paving projects from bid through final acceptance.
    • Demonstrated success working with FDOT Resident Engineers, CEI firms, and public agencies.
    • Proven track record of successfully managing project budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and field operations.
    • Equivalent combinations of education and extensive relevant experience will be considered.

Preferred Certifications

    • CPPR and CQC Training
    • Traffic Control Supervisor Certification
    • FDOT Asphalt Paving Levels 1 & 2
