Weโ€™re looking for an experienced, motivated Bilingual (English/Spanish) Optical Sales Associate to join our growing team!
What youโ€™ll do:
โ€ข Help patients select and style eyewear and ophthalmic lenses based on their needs and lifestyle
โ€ข Educate and sell all types of contact lenses,ย  (Soft, RGP, Hybrids and Sclerals)
โ€ข Work with vision insurance plans and maximize patient benefits
โ€ข Deliver an exceptional patient experience from start to finish
Requirements:
โ€ข Optical sales experience (frame styling + lenses)
โ€ข Strong knowledge of vision plans
โ€ข Experience with MVE a plus
โ€ข Bilingual (English/Spanish) required
โ€ข Must complete a brief optical knowledge pre-test as part of the hiring process
Job Summary
We are seeking a Bilingual Optical Sales Associate / Optician to join our team! ย  As an Optician, you will speak with patients to learn about their lifestyle and needs, take facial measurements, and help them pick out eyewear and contact lenses based on their specific requirements. You will also help them learn about their new products, explain pricing and insurance coverage, and follow all HIPPA and confidentiality regulations closely. The ideal candidate has exceptional customer service skills, strong communication and interpersonal skills, and in-depth knowledge of the inner workings of an optometristโ€™s office. ย 

Responsibilitiesย 
  • Meet and talk with patients to learn their needs for eyewear
  • Make suggestions on frames, and assist patients in choosing the best option for them
  • Take facial measurements to ensure a perfect frame fit
  • Prepare specific orders for the ophthalmic labย 
  • Explain pricing, insurance, and payment options to the patient thoroughly
  • Operate under all HIPPA and confidentiality regulations
Qualifications
  • Previous optometristโ€™s experience desired
  • License with the state desired
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong understanding of HIPPAย 
  • Strong customer service skills
