Job description

Warehouse Associate

Every Order Shipped Right Keeps a Lab Running

Why This Role Matters
When a lab runs out of critical supplies, experiments stop. Patient samples wait. Research timelines slip. As a Warehouse Associate at Filtrous, you're the reason that doesn't happen. You'll receive, store, and ship the laboratory supplies that scientists depend on every day. Your accuracy in picking, packing, and inventory management directly ensures that the right products reach the right labs on time. In a business built on reliability, your work is the foundation.

What You'll Do
Manage Inventory with Precision: Receive, inspect, and accurately record incoming shipments. Organize and maintain inventory for efficient storage and retrieval. Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in physical inventory audits.
Fulfill Orders Accurately and Efficiently: Pick and pack orders based on customer requirements. Prepare shipments with proper documentation and labeling to ensure every order goes out right the first time.
Coordinate Shipping and Receiving: Work with carriers and freight companies for incoming and outgoing shipments. Verify shipping documents and resolve discrepancies with suppliers or carriers.
Maintain Quality Standards: Inspect products for damages, defects, or discrepancies. Ensure all items meet quality standards before shipment and report any issues to your supervisor.
Keep Systems Up to Date: Input data into the warehouse management system accurately and on time. Generate shipping labels, packing slips, and other documentation as needed.
Uphold Safety and Compliance: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols. Comply with company policies and regulatory requirements. Safely operate warehouse equipment including forklifts and pallet jacks.

Problems You Will Solve
Wrong item ships out: A mispicked or mislabeled order forces a waiting lab to halt work, so this role exists to keep at least 99 of every 100 shipments exactly right.
Shelves run dry unnoticed: If counts on paper drift from what is actually in stock, a critical supply quietly runs out and scientists are left waiting, which careful receiving and regular counting is meant to prevent.
Orders miss the dispatch window: Shipments that do not make the day's outbound cutoff push lab timelines back, so the daily on-time target depends on someone keeping fulfillment moving.
Carrier and supplier mismatches: When shipping paperwork does not match what arrived or left, the gap turns into costly back-and-forth unless it is caught and settled with the carrier or supplier early.
Damaged stock goes undetected: A defect or in-transit damage that slips past inspection reaches the customer and dents a reputation built on quality, so each item needs a check before it ships.

How Success is Measured
Maintain 99%+ order accuracy across all shipments
Zero safety incidents in areas of responsibility
Complete all cycle counts and inventory audits on schedule with minimal discrepancies
Meet daily shipping targets with on-time dispatch
Keep warehouse organized and audit-ready at all times

Why You'll Love It Here
At Filtrous, you're not just moving boxes. You're making sure that labs across the country have what they need to do important work. You'll be part of a small, hardworking team that values reliability, honesty, and continuous improvement. The pace is fast, the work matters, and your contributions are noticed. As Filtrous grows, there are real opportunities to take on more responsibility and advance within the operations team.

Who You Are
High school diploma or equivalent
Strong organizational skills and sharp attention to detail
Ability to lift and move heavy objects (up to 50 lbs) and stand for extended periods
Basic computer skills for data entry and record-keeping
Team player who communicates effectively with colleagues and supervisors
Bonus points if you have:
Previous experience in warehouse operations or a similar role
Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS)
Forklift certification
