The Gulli Lab at Mount Sinai is seeking an experienced and collaborative Senior Associate Researcher. This is a role for a dedicated scientist who will be a key scientific contributor and will grow alongside the lab. This position is designed for growth, beginning with a strong focus on research with the potential to include managerial responsibilities. Over time, you will take on increasing responsibility for lab management, including training personnel, overseeing daily lab operations, and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Compensation Statement

The Mount Sinai Health System (MSHS) provides salary ranges that comply with the New York City Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for this role is $61,999.00 - $117,031.13 Annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, education, and operational need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation or benefits.

  • Leads and executes key research projects related to the two pillars of our research program, working with non-human primates in our custom virtual reality and large-scale electrophysiology environments. 
  • Conducts a variety of research experiments using advanced research techniques.
  • Coordinates project activities to meet deadlines.
  • Collaborates with the Principal Investigator in the development of new experiments and research techniques.
  • Assists in the implementation of standardized protocols for experiments and training purposes.
  • Assists the Principal Investigator with publications by extracting and compiling data; reviewing and editing articles for publication.
  • Mentors and trains less experienced research staff and graduate students.
  • Ensures compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
  • Performs other related duties
