Job description

Position Summary

We are seeking anย Associate Scientist, Technology Development, with a passion for innovation to join our technology development team to work on our novel protein detection platform. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, on multiple projects, and will be a part of a rapidly growing company to make a difference in life science research and early disease diagnosis.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Apply laboratory skills and experience to generate high-quality data in developing new technologies and in developing new biomarker assays.
  • Maintain accurate records of work performed including reagents, methodology, and results.
  • Perform data analysis and report results, and detailed data organization.
  • High-throughput manual and automated experiment execution, instrument operation
  • Examine the impacts of multiple variables on assay performance and perform troubleshooting as needed.
  • Support in-house engineers to integrate and adapt different assay workflows onto Alamar's proprietary instrument platform.
  • Cross-functional collaboration across different teams to enable technology and product advancement

Qualifications

  • BS/MS in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Bioengineering, or a related field, with relevant industry experience (2+ for BS, 1+ for MS).
  • 2+ years of hands-on laboratory experience performing ELISA, qPCR, or similar assays, including data generation, analysis, and review.
  • Proven ability to follow SOPs, maintain accurate documentation, and ensure high-quality experimental records.
  • Strong organizational skills; prior experience with lab operations or inventory management is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization skills, and commitment to data quality
  • A positive, selfmotivated attitude with strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple complex tasks or projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to handle biofluid samples a plus
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
  • Experience with automated lab equipments or high throughput assay workflows
  • Familiarity with data analysis tools such as R and JMP.

The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $100,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
