Job Title

Quality Supervisor

Position Overview

Shaw is hiring a Quality Supervisor who will be responsible for QC Lab associates and equipment across all shifts. This role works closely with management and plant personnel to ensure allqualityrequirements and objectives related to physical properties of the final productare met.
Essential Duties:

  • Perform all job duties using safe work methods.

  • Work normally scheduled days adhering to starting and stopping times. Workovertime as required.

  • Resolve associate complaints/issues

  • Ensure all associates are being treated fairly and consistently

  • Use Statistical Process Control software and tools

  • Use Lean/Six Sigma Tools for continuous improvement

  • Assist with resolving non-conformances and sorting affected materials

  • Assist lab & operations personnel with defect identification and root cause analysis

  • Lead & participate inqualitymeetings and support process improvement analyses

  • Support audits, inspections, product reviews, and manufacturing trials

  • Research and resolve customerqualityconcerns

  • Follow all Lockout/Tag-out procedures

  • Support the plant's recycling efforts

  • Assist other manufacturing department personnel as needed to resolve issues andsupport plant goals

  • Other duties as assigned byQualityManager


Requirements:

  • Must have a high school education, or its equivalent.

  • Must have at least one (1) year experience in a manufacturing environment, or itsequivalent.

  • Must have at least one (1) year experience in aqualitycontrol or lab testingenvironment, or its equivalent.

  • Must possess good interpersonal, communication, organizational and leadershipskills.

  • Must be able to work holidays, weekends, and overtime as required.

  • Plant WM is a tobacco-free facility
