Job description

What you need to know about this position:
§ The Lab Courier is a member of the laboratory team who is responsible for laboratory specimen deliveries from Clinics, Nursing Homes, and Physician Offices to the laboratory with a fixed, pre-arranged time schedule. Specimen deliveries to Indianapolis throughout the week and weekend is expected.
§ The Lab Courier's time is spent up to 95% operating a vehicle. The remaining time will be spent going into offices and the hospital, multiple times a day, and help fill orders for offices, and deliver them during the route.
§ The Lab Courier position has a base hourly rate of $16.73. Individual compensation is determined for this position through years of directly relevant experience and does include shift differentials and premium pay as applicable.
§ This PRN position will require you to work a shift ofvariable shifts and is not benefit eligible but offers a premium for hours worked, and the scheduled hours depend on the needs of the department .
What is required for this position:
§ High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
§ One to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience is desirable.
§ Must have valid Indiana driver's license, and meet the hospital's liability insurance carrier requirements
