Job description

Medlivo is seeking a travel nurse RN GI Lab for a travel nursing job in Petaluma, California.

Job Description & Requirements

  • Shift: 8 hours, days

Basic Requirements – GI Lab RN
Shift:
Day shift 5x8s (07:00 – 15:30) | No weekends
Experience:
Minimum 3 years of RN experience
Endoscopy / GI procedure experience preferred
Experience with colonoscopy, EGD procedures
Ability to assist in pre-procedure, intra-procedure, and recovery phases
Experience with conscious sedation monitoring and recovery
Must have recent direct patient care experience
Licensure / Certifications:
Active RN License
BLS Certification (required)
ACLS Certification (required)
CGRN – Certified Gastroenterology RN (preferred)
Clinical Skills:
Administer and monitor conscious sedation
IV insertion and medication administration
12-lead ECG/EKG monitoring
Specimen collection, labeling, and handling
Airway management and post-sedation recovery
Procedural Experience:
Colonoscopy
EGD (Esophagogastroduodenoscopy)
Assist/scrub/circulate during procedures
Experience with ERCP, EUS, EBUS, Bronchoscopy (preferred)
Esophageal banding, sclerotherapy (preferred)
Equipment Experience:
Balloon dilators, polyp snares, electrosurgical units
ERBE coagulation equipment
Endoscopy forceps and dilation equipment
Systems / Work Setting:
Epic charting experience required
Inpatient & outpatient endoscopy center setting
1:1 patient ratio
Additional Requirements:
Must be able to float to Pre-Op and Phase II PACU
May float to sister facilities (Santa Rosa / Healdsburg) with 24-hour notice.
