Job description

Overview
Titan America's Florida Business has an excellent opportunity for a Q. A. Concrete Lab Supervisor for its Tri-County Region Concrete Products and Ready Mix division. This position is based at the Pennsuco Facility located in Medley, Florida and reports to the Q.A. Manager for the Tri-County Region.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities Include:
  • Testing of concrete samples taken by A. Technicians on a regular basis in order to monitor properties of the product.
  • Maintaining and correlating the data produced from concrete
  • Concrete block testing, as
  • Maintenance, calibration and minor repair of all field testing
  • Scheduling and producing trial batches for D.O.T. and commercial concrete mix designs.
  • Provide input relating to testing programs and concrete mix
  • Supervise all activities at the lab Maintain the lab facility in compliance with C.M.E.C. criteria and schedule C.M.E.C. lab inspections when required.

Qualifications
Qualifications:
  • Associates degree (A.A. or S.) or equivalent from two year college or university, preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in laboratory testing of concrete and trial batch
  • Basic knowledge of design and control of concrete
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain within one year of employment, ACI Grade I Field Testing Technician, Lab Technician I & II, Strength Testing Technician; CTQP Plant Operators Certifications, Field Inspector Level I; NMCA
  • Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts as
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid
  • Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
