Job description

Applied Technical Services, LLC (“ATS” or the “Company”) is a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services. Summary: Inspections Operations Manager assigned to the Materials Testing Lab in Marietta, GA has the overall responsibility for planning, coordination, evaluation, and supervision of all technical and operational activities for the department as well as management of all staff members for the department.  
 

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Guides employees in their day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Has management control over equipment and personnel.
  • Works directly with customers.  
  • Manages all services and supplies with the highest quality and safety.

All applicants require the following:

  • Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent communication skills written and verbal.
  • Comfortable with scheduling upwards of 50 personnel.
  • Conflict management and resolution.
  • Applicants must pass a drug screen and have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

Work Conditions:

  • Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by the safety department for personal protection.
  • Work from heights on scaffolding, ladders, elevated platforms, man-baskets, etc. 
  • Work in confined spaces which will require crawling, stooping, climbing, etc. 
  • Work in around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Work in Office and In a lab environment in ambient and dark conditions
  • Work with radiation and hazardous materials such as cleaners, penetrants, film developing chemicals, etc.
  • Ability to lift and carry 50 pounds.
