Job description

We are seeking an experienced Lab Engineer with a strong mechanical background to join our testing laboratory. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with various testing equipment, transducers, data acquisition systems, and mechanical assembly capabilities.
Key job responsibilities
• Design, develop, and execute test procedures for mechanical and electromechanical systems
• Build, modify, and maintain test fixtures and equipment
• Analyze test data and prepare detailed technical reports
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues with test equipment and procedures
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve product quality and reliability
• Participate in the assembly of material handling equipment
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure calibration compliance
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for testing processes
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting, modifying, and developing mechanical and electrical drawings, or experience in the mechanical or controls field
- Experience in material handling equipment (MHE) or automation environments
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience in technical support
- Can show strong verbal and written communication skills
- • Proven experience working in a test laboratory environment
- • Proficiency with a wide range of hand and power tools
- • Experience with various transducers and data acquisition systems
- • Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- • 3+ years of experience in a Lab engineering role
- • Experience with Material Handling Equipment
- • Knowledge of statistical analysis methods
- • Familiarity with quality management systems
- • Experience with CAD software
- • Project management experience
- • Experience with 5S practices
