Job description

Lab Technician

Advanced Drainage Systems is a leading manufacturer of stormwater and onsite septic wastewater solutions, committed to sustainability and innovation. We are looking for a Lab Technician to join our team! In this role, you will perform daily testing of raw materials and finished goods, often in a high-volume environment. You will collaborate closely with other lab technicians, engineers, and manufacturing personnel to ensure product quality and support continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities

  • Perform raw material and finished product tests
  • Determine acceptability of test results and communicate findings to plants
  • Conduct basic maintenance on lab equipment
  • Analyze customer complaints and competitor samples; provide reports
  • Perform equipment calibrations
  • Prepare raw materials and finished products for testing
  • Assist in developing and writing lab and quality control procedures
  • Maintain a clean work area
  • Complete standardized assignments with minimal supervision
  • Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications

  • High school diploma required; college degree preferred
  • Willingness to pursue additional formal training as needed
  • Experience in quality inspection or plastics processing preferred
  • Ability to consistently lift 50 lbs
