Medical Laboratory Technician

Pay Range: $21.00 - $32.00 Hourly

Job Summary

Utilizing cutting-edge technology, the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) conducts clinical testing in various lab areas such as blood bank, microbiology, serology, and core lab (chemistry, hematology, coagulation, or urinalysis). The MLT follows laboratory procedures to prepare, handle, and analyze samples, ensuring accurate results. Additionally, maintaining equipment and supplies is a critical aspect of the role. The MLT works under direct supervision in a healthcare setting.

REQUIRED:

  • Associate Degree in medical laboratory technology or related science with an approved training program; or
  • High school diploma and completion of a military medical laboratory procedure course (minimum 50 weeks) with experience as a Medical Laboratory Specialist; or
  • 2-3 years of laboratory work
  • NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician License
