Shift: 1st Shift: 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM /  2nd Shift: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM
 
Job Description: 
  • We are seeking a dedicated Laboratory Technician to perform essential laboratory tasks under the supervision of a Full-Time Employee (FTE).
  • Responsibilities include various activities such as seed dropping, crushing, planting, harvesting, counting, grinding, reagent preparation, and other routine laboratory functions.
  • Lab teams may shift, and tasks may vary based on the current production season and daily laboratory needs.
POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Assist in operating laboratory equipment to generate accurate data.
  • Support the receipt and inspection of raw materials, including ordering and stocking supplies.
  • Follow established instructions and guidelines to perform laboratory tasks effectively.
  • Utilize knowledge of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the field to ensure quality results.
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance of laboratory equipment under the guidance of an FTE.
REQUIREMENTS/PREFERENCES:
Education Requirement(s):
  • Minimum of an associate degree in a scientific field
Skill & Competency Requirements: (list 3 to 5 non-negotiable items such as years of experience, industry of preference, specific knowledge items, professional certifications, skills, abilities, etc.)
  • Associate degree in a scientific discipline.
  • Ability to lift 40-50 lbs.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods (4-6 hours) while performing tasks.
  • Proficiency in conducting repetitive tasks with hands, wrists, and arms.
Preferences: (list nice-to-haves such a specific knowledge items, certifications, skills, abilities, etc.)
  • Experience in fast-paced and/or team-oriented environments is preferred.
  • Familiarity with laboratory safety protocols and general lab procedures.
