Job description

We are seeking a lab manager in fast pace growing Pharmacology and CRO company. You will be a strong fit for this position if you have experience in managing laboratory and have worked in biotechnology process development. We are looking for a self-directed, well-organized individual who enjoys working with scientists to understand their study and technical needs.

Job Responsibility:

  • Provide day-to-day support to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of the laboratories and animal facility.
  • Manage several laboratory operations, equipment and device maintenance, lab safety procedures, and records keeping.
  • Digital organization and routine maintenance of lab inventories including but not limited to cell stock banking records and sample storage records in multiple locations.
  • Manage and order essential lab supplies in a timely manner from certified vendors; keep clear records of all associated transactions.
  • Research for alternative suppliers or get quotes for better logistics and pricing.
  • Build and manage lab operations team when necessary.
  • Provide support and help for projects when necessary.
  • Serve as an emergency coordinator to process lab equipment troubleshooting.

Requirements

  • Desire to work in a research laboratory setting
  • Bachelor or master’s degrees in the life science or relevant field with a minimum of 2 years’ lab management experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office software, especially Excel, Word
  • Experience with laboratory supply/resupply, procurement and inventory management systems is a plus
  • Demonstrate understanding of essential lab management records and files in biotech company
  • Awareness of industrial safety and ability to effectively adhere to lab policies
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to multi-task
  • Ability to learn new management software when needed
