Job description

Brookhaven Gastroenterology Associates is seeking a talented histology supervisor for our growing pathology lab located in Westhampton Beach, NY. This is a full-time, permanent, day position perfect for a highly motivated histology professional. Family-like atmosphere and great compensation. The ideal candidate has the ability to supervise and mentor others; make sound and ethical decisions and communicate and educate effectively. Must be a quick learner, flexible, a confident microtomist, have excellent attention to detail, strong problem-solving skills. In addition, the ideal candidate must be able to work independently. Major responsibilities include oversight of the day-to-day operations of the histology laboratory. Provides direct and indirect supervision. Prioritizes and plans work activities. Identifies and resolves problems in a timely manner. Ensures that all facets of the laboratory’s Quality Management System are monitored and complied with.
Qualifications: Minimum: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology or Laboratory Science from an accredited institution and must qualify as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist pursuant to the provisions under NYS Department of Health Regulation Part 58-1.4
Required :  A valid New York State License issued by the New York State Education Department, current Registration Certificate, and 5 + Years experience as a Histology Supervisor
Hours: Full Time Monday-Friday
Salary: Competitive depending on skill set and experience.  95k+
