Job description

The Laboratory Technologist works under general supervision to perform difficult and complex laboratory procedures involving a high degree of independent judgment.

Responsibilities: 

  • Prepare laboratory and laboratory equipment for daily operation (e.g., turn on equipment and computer, retrieve necessary chemicals, reagents, etc.)
  • Inventory lab supplies to ensure sufficient amounts are available
  • Examine expiration dates of chemicals and replace expired products
  • Perform shut-down procedures on equipment at end of day (e.g., general cleaning, flushing lines, disassembly, return

Qualifications: 

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 7 โ€“ 11 months related experience and/or training
  • Certified in Arkansas as a lab tech or other certification
