License: Radiologic Technologist licensure issued by relevant state agency required in combination with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
Certifications: BLS Provider, Cardiographic Tech credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International obtained prior to hire or job transfer date.
Must-Have: Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist credentialed from the Cardiovascular Credentialing International preferred.
Description:
Assist with procedures and provide diagnostic aid by conducting organ or body scans on patients.
Prepare and position patients and select anatomic and technical parameters accurately.
Prepare and administer contrast media and medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
Observe patients during procedures and report abnormal activity.
Monitor protocols and recommend updates or refinements as warranted.
Follow radiation safety procedures and guidelines.
Perform all specialized imaging procedures such as angio, complex vascular, and nonvascular interventional and therapeutic procedures, along with assisting the Radiologist/PA.
Ensure all activities comply with regulatory agency standards.
High School diploma equivalency with 1-2 years of cumulative experience or an Associate's degree/Technical degree or 4 years of applicable cumulative job-specific experience required.
BLS certification required.
