Job description

**Base pay is determined by years of experience**


Position Purpose

The Medical Laboratory Tech is responsible for analyzing various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to provide physicians with pertinent information regarding the patient's health under the supervision of the Medical Technologist or Pathologist. This position is in a Critical Access Hospital located in Saratoga, WY.

Essential Functions

• Collects specimens.

• Performs specimen analysis and other tasks and procedures in hematology. urinalysis, serology, chemistry, and microbiology.

• Reports analysis results appropriately.

• Other duties as assigned.

• Ability to effectively communicate with staff, managers, and the general public verbally and in writing.

Required Qualifications
• Possess a bachelor's degree or higher in chemical, physical, biological, or clinical
laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution; OR
• Associate’s degree in Medical Laboratory Technology.


Credentials
• Must meet CLIA required qualifications for Moderate Complexity Testing.
• The ideal candidate will be certified or registry eligible for certification with the ASCP, AMT or other accrediting organizations.

  • Position Type: Full-Time
  • Schedule: Typical schedule is 40 hours plus it will include a rotational on-call schedule to include weekends, nights, and holidays
