ABOUT THE ROLE:

Provide professional clinical care for office patients following established policies and procedures.

FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION:

  • Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing standards.
  • Performs certain lab tests.
  • Takes and records patients vital signs, immunization status, and brief history.
  • Maintains patient confidentiality.
  • Cleans and autoclaves procedural equipment and instruments.
  • Observes records and reports to physician patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments, according to the nursing process.
  • Oversees appointment scheduling, assures priority is given to patients in emergency situations.


SKILLS REQUIRED FOR SUCCESS:

  • We will accept Certified MA or non-certified MA.
  • Medical Assistant Training is a plus.
  • One year of professional experience preferred, preferably in an office setting.
  • Lab expereince Preferred
