Performs data entry, basic computer operations, specimen collection, processing, and basic laboratory procedures. The Medical Laboratory Assistant continuously works towards providing quality service improvement and optimum support to the department and team members in achieving North Memorial- Maple Grove Hospital's goals. Requirements
Education
• High School diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
Experience
Experience
• Completion of an accredited program for Medical Laboratory Assistants or Medical Assistants.
OR
• Minimum of one-year current laboratory experience in a clinic or hospital setting.
OR
• Completion of a course in medical terminology and at least two semesters of college level biology and/or chemistry.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills and ability to handle stressful situations.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with multiple departments
Licensure/Certification
