Description
Burnett Medical Center is currently looking for a lab assistant/phlebotomist for our busy lab.
SHIFT & HOURS: Part-time, 0.5 FTE; Days
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for collection, preparation and transport of specimens for laboratory testing. Ability to multi-task, perform EKGs, release orders for lab collections, collect blood & urine samples, receive orders, perform drug screens (training required) and breath alcohol testing (training required).
Requirements
  • HS Diploma.
  • Completion of Phlebotomy coursework.
  • Phlebotomy experience preferred.
  • Or CMA with phlebotomy experience or MLT.
  • Medical terminology preferred.
  • Able to communicate effectively with patients, physicians, and other staff members.
  • Computer skills & customer service skills needed.
