Description

PAY: According to the union contract BOE, Benefits: Medical, Vision, and call- Shift/ days may change

MLT wage range $33.90- $53.76, Medical laboratory Scientist wage range $38.31- $66.35

Shift

Full Time Monday-Thursday 10:00 AM โ€“ 8:30 PM with holidays, and call- Shift/days may change

Has a professional responsibility for planning, performing, evaluating and reporting CLIA '88 waived, moderately complex and highly complex testing. This includes pre-analytical, analytical and post-analytical function; performing the day-to-day work of MLT/MLS to include performing quality control and quality assurance; instrument maintenance and troubleshooting; monitoring supply inventory; and establishing and/or maintaining communications with health care providers, patients, and other hospital personnel.

Qualifications

Minimum of an associate's degree, bachelor's degree preferred with training to include the completion of a certified MLT/MLS program.

MLT/MLS certification by ASCP, AMT, AABB or equivalent organization required.

Minimum of 3 years Generalist experience in a hospital laboratory including Blood Banking and phlebotomy preferred.

Must be able to work independently.

MA-P phlebotomy license required within 6 months of hire.
