  • Ensure the correct specimen is collected for each test ordered
  • Ensure the patient's full name, Date of Birth, date/time of collection and barcode are on the specimens
  • Log each specimen into the LIS
  • Responsible for informing facility that a redraw is needed if the specimen cannot be tested
  • Other duties.
