This opportunity is full-time during third shift (18% Shift Differential).
In this role, you will:
  • Perform a vital part of the patient care process by ensuring laboratory specimens are properly processed, prepared, routed, and stored
  • Work within an automated laboratory environment, including loading and unloading instrumentation and maintaining workflow efficiency
  • Perform physically demanding tasks, including routine lifting of up to 40-50 lbs
  • Support instrument maintenance by clearing consumables such as pipette tips and decapped tube caps, including proper disposal of biohazard waste
  • Recognize when corrective action is needed and implement effective solutions
  • Work in a laboratory environment with biological hazards while adhering to PPE requirements
  • Champion safety, compliance, and quality control

All you need is:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous training or experience in specimen collection or processing
  • Strong reading, writing, and analytical skills
  • Ability to operate general laboratory equipment, including but not limited to: telephones, computers, centrifuges, and audible alarms
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the role, including frequent lifting (up to 40-50 lbs), standing, and repetitive motion in a fast-paced environment
  • Comfort working with and disposing of biohazard materials in accordance with safety protocols
