Job Title: Laboratory Assistant (Allied) – Travel Assignment

Facility: Northside Hospital Atlanta
Location: Atlanta
Department: Clinical Laboratory (702A)
Assignment Type: Travel (Deferred Schedule)
Duration: 13 Weeks (May 27, 2026 – August 22, 2026)
Shift: 8-Hour Nights (10:00 PM – 6:30 AM, schedule may vary)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 per week
On-Call: Not Required


Position Overview

We are seeking a qualified Laboratory Assistant for a travel assignment within a high-volume clinical laboratory setting. This role supports laboratory operations through specimen collection, processing, and coordination of laboratory data systems to ensure accurate and timely testing services for patients.


Key Responsibilities
  • Perform specimen collection procedures for both inpatient and outpatient populations
  • Handle laboratory data collection systems, ensuring accurate ordering, cancellation, and billing of tests
  • Process, prepare, and distribute specimens for testing
  • Maintain proper labeling, handling, and documentation of all specimens
  • Support non-technical laboratory operations in compliance with established protocols
  • Collaborate with laboratory staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care standards

Minimum Requirements
  • Minimum 2 years of recent experience in a clinical laboratory setting within the specialty
  • Phlebotomy Certification (required)
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
