Black Dog Veterinary Services, located in the beautiful mountain town of Bozeman, MT, is seeking a motivated and compassionate Veterinary Assistant to join our close-knit team. We are a progressive small animal hospital offering advanced surgeries, dentistry, innovative medical treatments, and integrative/alternative care options.

Here, you'll get the opportunity to see and do it all, while enjoying a healthy work-life balance. We offer no weekends and no after-hours. We are seeking a full-time team member with experience in veterinary medicine.

What You'll Do:

As a Veterinary Assistant at Black Dog Veterinary Services, you'll work side by side with our technicians and doctors. Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Safely handle and restrain patients for techs and DVM's using Fear Free techniques
  • Assist in taking diagnostic radiographs as needed
  • Perform TPR's and obtain patient history
  • Assist in the collection and processing of lab samples
  • Fill prescriptions and support outpatient care as needed
  • Assist with client communication
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the hospital
  • Clean kennels, restock, walk patients in hospital for care among other duties
  • Collaborate with team members to support smooth hospital flow
  • Assist technicians and DVM's as needed

  • Experience as a Veterinary Assistant (1+ years preferred)
  • Knowledge of veterinary terminology, anatomy, and physiology

Compensation & Benefits:

Pay: Starting at $19/hr DOE
