Job Description

Sorts, labels, and logs specimens and performs testing procedures in accordance with strict procedures. Sorts and logs specimens, centrifugation, blood separations, and culture materials. Performs venipuncture and skin puncture to collect specimens from patients. Performs testing such as separating and centrifuging specimens, adding reagents to specimens, staining slides, tissue cultures, and DNA probe assays. Transcribes and records test results. Operates sterilizing equipment to decontaminate glassware. Associate's degree or other 2 year technical degree in related discipline and 3 years experience.
