This role involves assisting with daily living activities, monitoring vital signs, and working closely with the nursing staff to deliver high-quality patient care. Essential Functions: Patient Care:Assist patients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.Provide mobility assistance, including help with walking, transferring, and positioning.Ensure patient comfort by adjusting beds, turning patients, and providing adequate hydration and nourishment.Medical Assistance:Measure and record vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, blood pressure) and report any changes to the nursing staff.Assist with basic medical procedures under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.Collect specimens for lab tests as directed.Observation and Reporting:Monitor and document patient condition and care provided in medical records.Report any changes in patient status or behavior to the nursing staff promptly.Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members.Environmental Maintenance:Maintain a clean, safe, and organized patient environment.Assist with the cleaning and sterilization of equipment and supplies.Ensure patient rooms are stocked with necessary supplies and linens.Team Collaboration:Work collaboratively with the nursing team to develop and implement patient care plans.Participate in training and continuing education programs to stay current with best practices in patient care.Support and assist fellow CNAs and healthcare staff as needed. Moderate noise level; tasks may involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens; moderate stress and emotional demands. Physical Requirements: Sitting is required. Requires ability to always handle stressful situations in a calm and courteous manner. Requires working under some stressful conditions to meet deadlines and agency needs. Ability to travel.
